Are you a non-profit?
No we are not. We are a purpose first organisation. Everything we do must help ending climate impact due to our food system. To do so, we need a healthy and stable organisation where impact and commerce amplify each other. We see this as the best way to realise a reliable and scalable climate impact reduction.
Are you sustainable?
In the famous words of Patagonia: No, we are not. But with our services we do have a net reduction of climate impact.
We help chefs and cooks to be more sustainable. That is our core goal. To do so, we need to develop our platform and run it in datacentres and that costs energy. To minimise the impact we only host our services at datacentres where green energy is used. We strive to develop our services so it works as energy efficient as possible. We also offset our energy consumption with REC’s. However this is all focussed on limiting and compensating our impact. We do have impact. A boundary we have set for ourselves is that the impact reduction of our chefs and cooks is at least 10 times as big as our added impact.
